What’s Dialo?
Dialo is developing voice AI systems for task oriented conversations, for example in customer service setting. We are currently conducting hundreds of thousands of calls every day.
We develop and self host every component across speech-to-text, text-to-speech, LLMs, real-time audio processing, and voip.
Our strategy centers on developing an open-source foundation and proprietary vertical-specific products on top of it.
We're serving medium and large enterprises such as ING Bank, Santander, mBank, Nest Bank and many others.
What you'll do
We are looking for a founding AI engineer to lead the mission to solve voice AI, shaping our technical strategy and owning its implementation.
Until now, we have been pushing fine-tuning, small model architecture tweaks, and data pipelines to their limits as a team of product-focused engineers. This allowed us to build a successful commercial product, powered by advanced components we created ourselves, like our industry-leading Polish ASR for telephony.
Your mission is to push beyond our current limits by leading R&D in real-time understanding and reasoning. Expect to research and develop speech to text systems, multimodal LLMs, and collaborate with the rest of the team on data pipelines that fuel entire development.
Requirements
A demonstrated ability to take full ownership of features from concept to launch, whether proven through years of professional experience or through ambitious, self-directed projects that showcase a steep learning curve.
Ability to Implement Research: You possess a strong proficiency in the mathematical concepts that underpin modern AI, enabling you to read, understand, and implement cutting-edge research papers.
Development Fluency: You are a power user of your tools. We expect high proficiency with the command line, the ability to automate tasks with scripts, and a mastery of your chosen code editor/IDE to work efficiently.
A Proven Builder: You have a creative or academic achievement that demonstrates your passion and skill, such as a successful GitHub project, a deployed application that people use, academic publications, or achievements in technical competitions (e.g., Olympiads).
